The Lambert House Band (i.e., Jazz Band) is a regularly scheduled year-long course that receives 1 unit of Fine Arts credit towards graduation. It is also used to satisfy three of the four required elective units that count towards graduation. Please see the student handbook for more information on graduation requirements. These are outcome-based courses with performance, homework, and classroom requirements. The purpose of this class is to develop individual and ensemble performance skills, specifically in the idioms of Jazz studies and modern pop ensembles. Students will perform at selected concerts throughout the year as well as at selected school events through-out the year. These events could include scholastic sporting events, club functions, dinners, administrative requests, and other performance opportunities as deemed by the directors and administrators.
